Artist Susan Smith works and shows at Poor Yorick Studios in Salt Lake City, Utah, where you can see more than forty artists at one time during their biannual open house!

Susan travels the world, paints, draws and creates intricate three-dimensional beaded objects and jewelry. Susan was born in Ontario, OR, lived in McCall, ID & Reno, NV. Mostly raised in northern Utah. Attended Weber State & University of Utah (supplemented by workshops, travel & life).

"I've recently returned to painting after several years working with other media. My beadwork has been most rewarding and I continue to explore working with the color and reflective qualities of glass. My goal in all my work has been to create a reality or evoke a feeling. Although my work is not really socially compelling, in a very contemporary way, I feel the responsibility of walking a path, well trodden by artists/craftspersons through many millenia."
