Todd Lava

Todd Lava

Artist Todd Lava lives in Salt Lake City and ushers traditional tie dye forms into new genres by creating fabulous two-dimensional art and wall hangings with it. His collaborations with McGrews have included providing custom fabrics for some very interesting wearable art projects.

We do not have Todd's current address or contact information and think he may have moved. You may want to try an internet search to see if you can locate him for your custom commissions!

From Wikipedia:

Tie-dye is a process of resist dyeing textiles or clothing which is made from knit or woven fabric, usually cotton; typically using bright colors. It is a modern version of traditional dyeing methods used in many cultures throughout the world.[1] "Tie-dye" can also describe the resulting pattern or an item which features this pattern.

Tie-dying became fashionable in the West in the late 1960s and early 1970s as part of hippie style. It was popularized in the United States by musicians such as John Sebastian and Janis Joplin.[2]

We're especially proud of our work here, perfectly matching the designs on the center front and center back.
A relaly spectacular way to take the traditional tie-dye form into a new ultra-fitted, chic and body-conscious genre.
A great departure from the usual loose-fitting, hippy clothing!
