The CORSET was custom painted by Salt Lake City artist, Heron Hanson, whom you can commission to custom paint yours, too. Love the dead babies on the sides? I do!

Heron and I met a couple of years ago during an open house when he came to my studio on a gallery stroll night.

His amazing work has inspired me to send out more corsets to as many good painters and 2-d illustrators as I can, and I’m enthusiastic about being able to show off the skills and creativity of these artists who’ve taken free reign with these wearable canvases.

I hope you enjoy them.

The HAT, a warm coif with hangy dreddie things is a labor intensive piece inspired by the Golliwog, a character you’ll know and love if you enjoyed reading Heavy Metal Magazine in the 1970s and 80’s.

These pieces belong to a private collector, but you can have your very own Custom Overbust Corset in black canvas that creates your very own custom surface for a specialized paint application.

This is the costume that won the first place prize at the 2006 Gardner Village Witches Night Out, a famous yearly event in our neck of the woods.
